FAQ

Have questions about our Influencer Network? Contact Lydia Michaels PR here.

How can I become a book influencer?

First, actively follow and support authors in the book community. Create a professionally branded, public profile on popular social media platforms with a bookish name for your influencer identity. Then read, post about the books you read, and, most importantly, review! We work with influencers who post new, relevant book content consistently, have an established following, and get healthy engagement on their posts.

If I join the LMPR Influencer Network am I obligated to review everything Lydia Michaels writes?

No. The Influencer Network is our way of managing a large contact list in a way that also allows us to form unique, professional relationships with industry professionals in the book influencer community, which is very important to Lydia. When you join, you are added to our PR mailing list and our professional and private Facebook Group so that we can provide you with fresh, relevant content on a regular basis. You are never required to post or accept ARCs, but we hope you do. We hope the teasers, ARCs, and material we provide is irresistible and exactly what you want to share on your platform.

I recently applied to LMPR’s Influencer Network. How will I know if I’m accepted?

You should receive a response within 6 weeks if you are accepted. Due to the volume of applications, we cannot respond to everyone. If you do not get a response within that time, please review our guidelines and reach out again when you meet the necessary qualifications. If you’re unsure, please contact LMPR directly to check the status of your application.

Do you send physical paperbacks to influencers?

Book mail is so much fun for everyone, not just the receiver! Yes, we do send galley copies to certain influencers within the US. To get on our paperback mailing list, make sure you are posting unboxing videos and bookstagram photography on your platform regularly. You should also be tagging Lydia Michaels frequently in stories, posts, and reviews, as well as engaging with her posts. Then, you can propose a collaboration by telling us how you plan to use your influencer platform to promote a specific paperback through posts, videos, and stories. Galleys are marketing tools and are only sent to influencers who actively promote authors with content around featuring said paperbacks.

How do I find my Amazon review link?

Log into Amazon and click on “Account”. Scroll down until you see “Ordering and Shopping Preferences”. Click “Your Amazon Profile”.

All of your reviews are here. Find the review you want. Click “See full review”. Click the “Permalink” link at the bottom of your review. Highlight the URL at the top of the page. This is the direct link to your Amazon review.

What if I didn’t like the book or it was a DNF? Do I still review?

Yes. ARCs are given in exchange for honest reviews. In order to stay on our ARC-approved list, all ARCs need to be reviewed and accounted for. We advise that you avoid spoilers, keep it professional, balance negative feedback with positive feedback, and remember that authors are people, too.
